Green and conscious choices are important to us. That is why we keep a low stock of HSF54 paint (this is our recommended paint). Hereby we reduce waste and hope to contribute to a better climate. Normally, this product will be shipped immediately after placing your order. Our other paints (MAX54, PRO54 and HSF64) are purchased on demand and have a delivery time of 3-5 working days.
Easy to apply carbon-based conductive paint for walls, ceilings, doors and other interior OR exterior surfaces. Very effective for blocking cell phone signals, CB, TV, AM, FM signals, radiofrequency radiation and microwaves. High water resistance and environmentally friendly.
Based on a high quality pure acrylic binder, this shielding paint offers a perfect compromise of excellent attenuation, high water resistance and good ecology. Good adhesion on many surfaces and substrates like latex paint, construction boards, cement, plaster, polystyrene, masonry surfaces, etc.
Frost-resistant liquid format, ready to use right out of the bottle. Easy to handle – roll similar to ordinary wall paint – and still achieve an amazing reduction of 99% of HF radiation with only one layer. Dries quickly. Water clean-up.
Due to its holohedral carbon structure, without fibers or meshes, it offers consistent attenuation regardless of the direction of signal polarization, and a highly conductive surface. As a bonus, carbon is a good RF absorber. About 10% of Y-Shield shielding effectiveness is due to absorption. This helps reduce reflections and minimizes the risk from RF sources trapped inside the shielded area.
The paint shields electric fields when grounded. It also blocks any incoming radio frequencies. It is a black paint that is applied as a primer. It is non-toxic. Once the EMF paint has dried, a regular paint with any color can be applied on top of it. Your painter will need to apply several layers of top coat paint to cover the black Y-Shield. It is applied either on the interior or exterior of your house. Windows will need to be shielded from incoming radio frequencies using separate shielding materials (film and/or curtain fabric).
Use a first-class paint roller with a pile height of 10-13 mm. To achieve a good attenuation, it is essential to apply the shielding paint with equal thickness – do not skip areas! Always soak the paint roller with the equal amount of paint and try to coat equal large surfaces with this amount. Less suitable are short-piled lacquer-rollers, foam-rollers or brushes, as the coating often gets applied unevenly. Airless spraying is possible, possible nozzle sizes from 0.2 to 0.5 mm.
NOTE
A cell phone used in any room painted with Y-Shield paint would not connect as easily to an outside cell tower, or even to a cell booster in the next room. Nor will it connect well with a WiFi router in another room. That is because the paint is doing its job of blocking radio frequencies from passing through the wall. Certainly, do not put a cell booster or any wireless device transmitting WiFi or Bluetooth into a room painted with Y-Shield. The signal transmitted by that device will not easily get into adjoining rooms. More importantly, you will be exposed to higher levels of radio frequencies, because they will not only come from the transmitter itself, but they will bounce off the inside of the painted, shielded walls and amplify within the room. This will especially be an issue for electrically sensitive individuals.
GROUNDING THE PAINT
Physically, the paint will also reflect the high-frequency fields without grounding. However, for a surface area larger than 2m², for safety reasons (possible short circuit if you touch a power wire when drilling / nailing holes, etc.), electrically conductive surfaces must be grounded by law. Earthing is also essential when low-frequency electric fields also need to be shielded. For quick installation, we have a Grounding kit available.
